About Sympli5
Most fee comparison sites stop at Stripe and PayPal in US dollars. But a merchant in Kingston, Port of Spain, Lagos or São Paulo faces a completely different reality: the big gateways may not operate there at all, and the local ones rarely publish simple rates. Sympli5 exists for those markets, and for anyone selling into them.
We cover 118 currencies and 192 gateways & wallets across 9 regions: North America, Central America, the Caribbean, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Oceania. For every currency we show what each gateway charges where rates are published, and which gateways actually serve the market where they are not.
Our editorial rules
- Published rates only. If a processor does not publish standard pricing (Adyen, Helcim, dLocal, Powertranz and others), we say so and explain their pricing model, rather than inventing a number that looks comparable.
- Availability-first. Outside the US and EU, the most important question is not "what does it cost" but "can I even sign up". We answer that on every currency page, and we never suggest workarounds like forming overseas companies. We list what is available.
- Dated, sourced, verifiable. Every page shows its last-updated date, and every figure links back to the provider's own pricing page. Fees change often: treat our numbers as a comparison starting point, not a contract.
- No financial advice. We compare costs. We do not tell you which provider to choose, and nothing on this site is financial, tax, or legal advice. See the full disclaimer.
How the data is maintained
Full detail on sources, verification and corrections: see how Sympli5 works.
All fee data lives in a single dated file, reviewed quarterly against each provider's official pricing page. Between reviews, the Flash feed carries fee changes, availability launches and digital-services tax developments worldwide, each labeled by status (proposed, enacted, rate change, availability) so a proposal is never mistaken for law.
Found a number that's wrong? That matters to us more than anything: tell us and we'll verify and correct it.
